By now….

           ….we were all supposed to be driving one of these….

A bit over a half century ago, so-called experts predicted we’d all be driving our own personal flying vehicles by now.

That prediction didn’t work out too well.

But, heck, many of us now have GPS turn-by-turn navigation systems and satellite radio in our vehicles….not to mention the now ubiquitous smartphone – our “personal communicators”….the stuff once of SciFi….as in Star Trek.

Note no seat belts in that flying family “car,” either! That expert prediction must have been made before the advent of mandatory seat-belts in vehicles that became widespread in the 1980s.)

Lesson learned: Take any so-called expert predictions beyond tomorrow with a huge grain of salt! But enjoy the SciFi of it all!)
